Fun in Pakistan

We made it!!!! We arrived in Islamabad on Monday apx. 11pm (Islamabad time). Ended up staying the night at a hotel in the outskirts of the city.
On tuesday, we did some shoping to be outfitted appropriatley. Greg has been quite impressed with the shalwar cemise(dress) of Pakistan, so do not be surprised if he carriers over this style of dressing into the US. Mel has had a great time picking out clothe with Hannah and going to the tailor to have her shalwar camise custom made. Clothes fit wonderful after having them custom made!
Greg and Brandon have been with a nomadic family for the past day and spent their night tending to the sheep and goats. Greg looks quite natural at being a shepard and tending the flock. Maybe he has a future in it.
We've been getting a taste of what it's like to live a Pakistani life. It's different for sure and would take some time to adjust, especially as a woman. We definatley have a deeper appreciation of what Hannah and Brandon have commited themselves to.
We are heading up to the Hunza Valley tomorrow, hopefully by plane. If we end up taking a bus, it could take up to 24 hours! It's not that the distance is that long, it's more because the roads are so bad. Imagine what that bus ride would be like!
Until next time,
love mel and greg

I was thinking about the day you two 'got engaged' and how easy going you both are. I can easily see how you both accommodate to whatever are your surroundings! How fun for you. Best wishes, Susan
